It is difficult to overlook the melodrama as Waltz controls the show, which is truly more about life and relationships than the circus. He is a ruthless circus owner who values no man or animal. The music, costuming, cinematography, sets, and acting were all top of the line.

Time to purchase a new fence, of course. Going into the theater, I was thinking the movie would be mediocre because movie renditions of books are usually horrible. And she and Pattinson have great chemistry, but they don't connect as significantly has they need to have. Lastly, it produced no sense that the elephant killed Waltz' character at the end.

Keeping in mind this movie was set in the early 1930's, it did not disappoint at all. Christoph Waltz plays the villain with the identical excellence as in Inglorious Basterds.
