I don't agree with a lot of HSUS's focus, but I had always kind of felt some sort of respect for Pacelle. I lost a lot of it after this interview. [via Eric P] Some choice quotes:

Glad they caught the kid. I also appreciate that they actually acknowledged the suffering of the cats:

Of course I'm a bit biased, but to me, it sounds like Gary Francione verbally skewers Jan Narveson in this short radio debate on animal rights. [via Eric Prescott]

I, too, am tired of the term “vegetarian”; being used when quot;veganquot; is more correct. I do think the tide is turning, though, and a look on the shelves of the “vegetarian cooking” section at the bookstore is a testament to that.
