"A funny thing happens when people try two versions of the same cookie made by baker Hareg Messert: They often like the vegan one better." (via vegan.com)

"Customs officials searching the bags of an African man who flew into Dulles International Airport on Friday discovered three charred monkeys in his luggage, as well as deer meat and dried beef, U.S. Customs and Border Protection officials said yesterday."

That’s a great quote on the vegan cookies, but of course a non-vegan could rationalize it that she’s just not so good at making non-vegan cookies.
HSUS or PETA (or someone else with loads of money) should organize a major cookie (or other non-meat-based item) bakeoff or other contest such that each group (vegans and non-vegans) got to pick the tastiest cookies in their category. Then put those head to head in a blind taste test for non-vegans. And by blind I mean that the tasters would not be informed that one cookie was vegan and the other wasn’t, they would just be asked to evaluate which one tastes better.
That would be some good PR for vegan baking and would be virtually unchallengeable.
