Union chief Stan Painter said that following a mad cow disease scare in 2003, he [...] was told to drop the matter, and [...] then placed on disciplinary investigative status.
Ugh. That whole mad cow thing happened a few hours away from my hometown. Surprisingly enough, my sister-in-law (and her nutrition professor!) never heard about it. How’s that for warning the public?
I sometimes have a hard time trusting the government to make sure my food is okay. (Not that meat is food, but ya’ll know what I mean.)
