More idiot thwacking
Since I’ve started following the policy of not approving every crackpot that comments on an entry, the studpidity level has decreased pretty significantly. But every so often, there’s still one of those comments that I’m definitely not going to approve, but I want to share with you all for a laugh. Because really, it is just that funny.
The post starts off by referring to everyone that’s commented on this post as “Peta freaks” and then proceeds to lay into PETA with some legitimate gripes as well as some outdated or misinformed ones, all with plenty of terrible spelling and grammar (of course). That stuff has been covered a million times before, so let me just jump to the most interesting part of the comment, where the guy goes from the typical anti-veg rant to a raving loon:
i don’t care if you don’t want to eat meat or eggs, that is your right. but to put up posters and say that eating meat makes you fat when literaly billions of studies show that meat is a necicary part of your healthy development and not consuming meat products can lead to osteoperosis and bone caner, aids, rhinovirus(common cold) ,and yes i will bring in the a word, AIDS!
Wait. Not only does he claim that not eating meat causes “bone caner” (that’s got to be a euphamism for some creepy sexual act), but he blames AIDS (twice!) on “not consuming meat products.” But I guess we should believe him because there have been “literaly billions of studies” done. Billions!
The commenter then says that he’s “a well informed liberal, left wing, democrat, who doesn,t like to see abuse any more than the next man” before jumping to the completely unrelated topic of unchaining domestic dogs.
Gotta love it.

The interesting thing about him bringing up the unchaining of dogs, is that I just got an email from peta yesterday asking to send me some literature. Primarily was leaflets with information on the heat and how it can kill, so don’t leave your dogs (or cats or babies or elderly mothers or the dali lama, etc) closed in a car on a hot day. But also some leaflets about unchaining dogs. I am betting that this guy is himself a peta freak, probably got the same email from them, and thus the comment about unchaining the dogs.
I’ve heard that AIDS thing before, and it is strange. How can a so-called well informed person not understand the most basic aspect of how a sexually transmitted disease is transmitted? And with the “bone cancer” thing, and his confusion about sexually transmitted diseases, well my mind is going in funny, but probably not appropriate, directions.
Hahaha, niiiiice. Someone ought to point out that if he wants to impress anybody by referring to a freaking cold as the “rhinovirus”, he needs to spell maybe 50% of his post right first.
I’d like to see ONE study that blames a lack of meat for any of those conditions…oh, and it needs to have been funded by somebody other than the CCF!
Veganism causes AIDS! Please alert Nina Planck with this tidbit for her next op/ed piece. Isn’t one of the theories about how AIDS came about was from eating tainted monkey meat? If anything it seems that eating meat is the problem, not the solution.
What’s really sad that either this person doesn’t know the meaning of a simple word like “literal” or s/he believes that there really are literally billions (plural!) of studies linking vegetarianism to the diseases mentioned. It boggles the mind.
Bone caner. Heh. Maybe the commenter is a “little” worried about his bone. *snort*
And literally billions? Wow. That’s a lot. Wonder why the meat industry isn’t flashing that info for all the world to see. If eating meat prevented AIDS then I will literally bet billions dollars that the meat industry would have billboards on every corner announcing it for all the county to see.
SO much snark, so little time.
i think the guy probably is a bone caner so he literaly has billions of necicary meat fat blocking his healthy developement, which makes me bring in the A word (but i’ll spell it correctly) — he’s ASININE!
ha ha ha i love to laugh. thank you for sharing this lovely tidbit.
Wow, he has all of his information backwards. I’ve been doing research on health and there are currently studies being undertaken on the adverse health effects of meat eating. Apparently, severe meat eaters have a higher risk to many different diseases, including cancer and osterperosis.
And yes, tainted monkey brains brought AIDS into humans.
