I'm a long-time vegan, way long-time veg, and this is my 2nd winter in a row sans a real winter coat. (Gave up old ones, which had wool and/or were way too big on me, I have small frame that's hard to fit.) Because they're the absolute hardest item to find vegan options for, let alone miraculously in correct size and whatnot. I've even been to vegan forums which said the same thing. I've searched catalogues, low/mid cost/bargain stores of every type, coat shops like burlington coat factory, and every online search you can think of, including at every vegan site I could find. And let me say that living near NYC and vacationing in MN sans winter coats is not fun! But everything has wool or down, as well as the common probs of bits of leather, fur trim, silk. I have found alternatives one way or another for every other vegan item esp. clothing-wise, but not winter coats! Don't they know no matter what you eat, you still get cold? All I see are light fall/spring jackets, nothing longer than waist-length, let alone good for CRAZY cold winter weather let alone long walks in subzero temps let alone having any, ahem, style to them. So please, that would be very helpful.
