DAMN IT. Seriously. When will we stop acting like idiots trying to invent sentience-free animals and just, you know, stop eating animals that don’t want to be eaten?!

    Doesn’t it remind you of Douglas Adams’ “The Restaurant at the End of the Universe” where they’ve bred cattle that WANT to be eaten?

    It’s just awful. How would humans feel if scientists started fiddling around with OUR genes to make us more complacent in high-stress situations? Why would anyone want to give up their agency like that?
