Why Running is Not Vegan

… because everytime I go running in the late Spring/early Summer I end up swallowing an insect.

  • Then you shouldn’t drive. You smash more bugs on your windshield than you end up eating while running. :-)

  • funny! Good for “the protein” though, right??!! :)

  • I have the same dilemma/problem!!! And I also think about the ants and small creatures I’m probably smushing while pounding the pavement. It is a quandary…

  • By that rationale, even breathing is not vegan, (although it is breatharian [!]) hence not living. But that would involve dying, which isn’t vegan, either (or is it?). Jesus, it really is a quandry.

  • I have gone jogging many times down the road, and never have I swallowed a bug! In fact, you are suppose to breathe in thru the nose and breathe out via the mouth. At least, that was what I was always told. maybe it prevents bugs! Anyway, these days I run on a treadmill at the gym. Maybe you should try it. No ants to step on.
