By that rationale, even breathing is not vegan, (although it is breatharian [!]) hence not living. But that would involve dying, which isn’t vegan, either (or is it?). Jesus, it really is a quandry.
I have gone jogging many times down the road, and never have I swallowed a bug! In fact, you are suppose to breathe in thru the nose and breathe out via the mouth. At least, that was what I was always told. maybe it prevents bugs! Anyway, these days I run on a treadmill at the gym. Maybe you should try it. No ants to step on.
Then you shouldn’t drive. You smash more bugs on your windshield than you end up eating while running. :-)
