Regarding the vegan cookbooks, I have been very dissatisfied with Vegan with a Vengeance,given to me as a gift. The recipes we have tried so far (and followed!!) have not worked out very well. She also tends towards a lot of VERY sweet desserts and we are not fans of that. On the plus side, re: vegan cookbooks, just purchased Vegan Planet yesterday and this looks like a keeper. I am also a cookbook author so its fairly easy for me to scan through a recipe and know if it will work or not. These recipes not only sound delicious and easy to make, they also don't include some of the very strange ingredient combos of other vegan cookbooks.
