i love the style of this book. the humour is great! and so many interesting life ideas and it all looks like such an ENJOYABLE lifestlyle - yeeehaaa! i love the fact that she's conscious that not all of us has "loadsamoney", i love that she includes such a lot of info like useful websites, and so glad i came across it at my local bookstore chain seeing as i'm not signed up to networks at the mo, so didn't know the book existed till i saw it. brilliant!

This books rocks - i had a bengali guy compliment the samosa dough! I have a mixed diet family (meat to vegan) and every recipe has pleased my carnivores - no side comments or groans from a 16 year old boy!
faves:
mango tempeh sammiches
coconut cream cupcakes (never been pegged as vegan in 6 bake sales)
garlicky kale
pumpkin waffles
raspberry blackout cake (wonderful ganache)
chocolate chip cookies
parsnip latkes
pizza dough!
scones
carrot raisin muffins (i use my juicer leftover carrot mush for this)
green thai curry (demanded once a week in my house)
mushroom sauce
the only flop has been the stuffed zuccini :( darn zuke -haters

really, if i want to show unbelievers that vegan food can be good, or if i need a sureshot recipe for important dinners - i grab isa.

i think i have a crush on her.

This book is rad, yes, rad. I bought this book for my sister and ended up keeping it because the recipes are so great. The quinoa-stuffed red bell peppers are amazing, and the chocolate chip cookies are the best I've ever tasted. Everything is easily converted to gluten-free, too! (that's what I did with the CCCs)

Oh, and I'll be getting my sister a new book shortly :)

Best,
Erin

Wow, this is a great site!

It's refreshing to see a web page that doesn't have aggressive comments from meat-eaters on it (I get those comments on my blog ALL the time!)

That book looks awesome. I've just been inspired to make a nice vegan lunch.

Later!

Preston.

I just got this out of the library to give it a try. I'm so glad you gave some recommendations. I'm already planning on making one of the waffle recipes and the biscuits with tempeh sausage and gravy this week.

I know where you're at with the breakfast - we've been making pancakes like they're going out of style. I don't think I've ever eaten this many in my life. (My favorite are the bannana pecan). We also use this cookbook way more than any other of our vegan cookbooks.

The Jerk Seitan rocks. I also love the Lemon Gem Cupcakes (although they don't look pretty--I must have screwed something up--they sure taste good). The Stewed Potatoes and Tofu isn't bad either.
