Ok, I’ve been a vegetarian for my whole life (13 years). and kids ALWAYS say” Gosh Ana, you’re crazy!! How do you do it”, or “Man, I couldn’t”, and sometimes “I’ll give you 15.00 if you bite out of my burger at lunch.” I hate that they think they can give me money to change my ways. My friends Say their Going to be A vegg-Head too, but vegetarianism isn’t something you just do. You have to fully commit yourself. Gosh, How do people eat meat/flesh…Yuckkkky. Those poor animals, I belive you should save the animals for a last resort, and you should eat things you plant, and grow first, and if anything should ever go wrong THEN you eat animals. They should’nt be on menu’s to be selected.

i am considering going vegetarian. i see nothing wrong with drinking milk except for the fact that they impregnate the cows too often! i’m going to cut back on dairy products and eat/drink more soy. since my mom has eaten meat all her life, it’s going to be hard for her to cook vegetarian food for me. i am full asian, half chinese. not only do the chinese eat animals, some also eat babies! HUMAN babies! how revolting! they bring us shame! oh btw i’m 13. most of my friends are semi/part vegetarians, meaning they don’t eat as much meat. i used to be a semi-vegetarian, but this time i’m going veggie for good.

Hi All

I really appreciate the celebs that speak out for veggie and animal rights causes. Lets face it, they have a platform and a voice that most of us will never have. I applaude those very few that take advantage of their public profile. What I can’t stand is the vacuous Hollywood majority that spends the majority of their time partying and shopping. Superficial losers!

Dear Wendy,

Just because you’re half Asian doesn’t make your comments less racist or have more merit than a non-Asian person. It is the Western culture I’m assuming you have been raised in that differentiates between eating cows and eating cats or dogs. I am vegan, and choose not to eat any animal products at all. However, it’s hypocritical to be outraged about someone eating a domesticated animal and not a farmed one. I don’t see why we should fault Asian people more than any other meat eaters.

Wow. I’m so glad that I am not the only vegetarian in the world. And I had no idea that all these celebs were vegetarians. I think it is great that they are promoting the idea of helping animals all over the world who have already been tortured and killed by the sins of humankind. Am I the only one who thinks humans are the worst things ever to set foot on Earth?

Sadly, I am only 14 years old. At my school, no one mocks me for being a vegetarian, but people say that it is “unhealthy”, “stupid”, and worse yet, the comment that pisses me off the most: “Dude, they’re just animals. Who cares?” I could care less about anything than animals, for they are the most generous of all living creatures. Of course, as we all know, humans are the worst.

I am very upset at Asia as well. They are cruelly finning sharks everyday for profit. These poor sharks have been tortured over years, and will soon be extinct. Why will Asia (mainly China) not do anything. The answer? They don’t care as long as they get their greedy hands on cold hard cash. I am half Asian, so I would know. And no offense to Chinese and Korean people, but you guys (again, mainly China) eat every animal except people. What is your problem? Do you somehow foolishly think that humans are the dominant beings on the planet?

What really pisses me off is a celebrity publicly falling off the veg-wagon, like Drew Barrymore whining about the difficulty of finding stores that don’t sell leather (you’re a celebrity, dingbat, you have connections, so it shouldn’t be hard) so she pitches the baby with the bathwater. Or Andre 3000, who is pure vegetarian for health, deciding to back a line of clothes with animal pelts.

I think it’s fantastic that they use their “status” or whatever to promote vegetarianism. Would you rather see them pushing veggies or more freaking shoes and matching bags? (Probably made out of dead cows or baby seals or something). C’mon man. Give them credit.
